Oooo.... got hand gestures some more, Chintu.. haha
Geraldine explaining on CMBR ( Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation )The presentation was NOTHING short of awe-inspiring as we gain new insights about the scientific view on the Creation of Universe. Their flow of presentation was very coherent ( obviously well rehearsed ) and their slides were very informative and interesting to look at. One of the major factor of why i love their presentation is that the way they present their information, no flashy wordings, no technical terms, no scientific jargon, just pure simple beautiful normal language. Beautiful. Simply Beautiful. All in all, it was an excellent job. Well done you all.
I admired them so much i couldn't help thinking along a line by Vince Lombardi, "Individual commitment to a group effort -- that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work."
Coincidentally, i had a recollection of a part of a physics-turn-philosophy lesson by Mr Sudad, my physics lecturer ( if you can recall it, i mention him earlier in my previous post ). He was telling us about why Chinese students ( i'm not implying anything here ), why Chinese students performed well in the Edexcel A Level Physics Examination. It is because he noticed that Chinese students help one another and are constantly sharing information with one another. in short, they move as a team, that's why they scored better generally ( only approximately 30 out of 140 candidates managed to score an A in last year's examination. Results were released on 20th August 2009 ).
He said,"We're all moving as a team. Even if you get A alone in Physics, there's no value in your A."
I could feel the spear hit home.
Take a box of crayon for example. There are so many crayons of different colours living together in a box. Althought they are different in respect to one another, they have to find ways to co-exist and to live in peace with one another. Better still, they need each other to exhibit their true wonders. The Black cannot say to the White,"I don't need you.". The Red cannot say to the Blue,"You are unnecessary.". Why ? One colour is simply monotonous. No one, no one would ever buy a monotone painting. But, but, when all of them are combined together, red with orange with yellow, blue with cyan and purple, a masterpiece is born, and there is no greater wonder than that.
Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishment toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results. Michael Jordan said,"Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships. ". One man can be a crucial ingredient on a team, but one man cannot make a team. Some men may be an island, but they need to visit the mainland for supplies once in a while.
Teamwork is the most essential ingredient recipe of Success. In some parts of our life, when obstacles seems to be overpowering and predicaments overruns our life, we need friends, we need people to reaffirm our faith in ourselves, to hug us and tell us that everything will be okay. It is in such time we need team members to talk us through and to accompany us as we brave the valley of darkness.
Always remember this,
Amidst the sultry gloom of Rain, the mellow luminensce of Rainbow is always there to cherish the Day ahead; A tender embrace from a lover may be compassionate, but a caring hug from a friend is all the way more promising.
One day, when we're all facing something bigger than us, and one day when we feel that, we cannot best the obstacles we encounter, and when we feel that all hopes have been snuffed out from life, we all need someone to look behind and to whisper into our ears softly but firmly, "I'll never let you go, ever".
Friends tell each other, "I won't let go, not now, not today, not ever. I'll always ride beside you into peril, side by side."
I've always compared obstacles in life as brick walls. We all need someone to help us when our front path is blocked by one - even if it means practically throwing you over.
